Q:What is your charity’s unique mission and program?
A:Raising awareness for a disease that affects 1.5 million Americans, Lupus LA stands alone as one of the most effective and honorable charities to date.
Q:How did you establish your charity?
A:How did you establish your charity? Lupus LA, a non-profit health organization, was founded in 2000 by a concerned group of lupus families spearheaded by Daniel J. Wallace, MD, attending physician in the Division of Rheumatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a clinical professor of medicine at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine.
Q:How will your charity use contributions from BRBF Infinity?
A:We would use BRBF infinity as a tool that can raise funds on a daily basis through shopping and supporting Lupus LA to fund more research that needs to be done to put a stop to this disease.
Q:What is your ultimate dream in regards to your cause?
A:Find a cure for Lupus which ultimately would also be the cure for many other auto-immune disease such as Parkinson and MS.
Q:What outcomes has your charity seen through its work?
A:Progress in helping & funding patients with treatments, support groups, and learning how to live with the disease.
Q:How can BRBF Infinity convey your message to get people involved. How can people get involved in your cause?
A:Many people don’t know how common Lupus is and the symptoms of Lupus. We like BRBF Infinity to help us educate people and help us raise funds to find a cure.
Q:How much of the money BRBF raises for you, will you give back to the actual cause?
A:We have approximately 20% overhead cost and the rest is going directly to the cause. For every dollar that is raised by BRBF Infinity we give a minimum of $0.75 to $0.80$ back to research, treatments, financial support for patients and support groups.
